Project Description

Quantitative Bone Histomorphometry (Bone Biopsy): Bone is a dynamic tissue, always undergoing removal and replacement. Quantitative bone histomorphometry is a means of measuring how well (or impaired) bone tissue is accompanying these repair processes. There are defined indications of when a bone biopsy may assist in diagnosis or treatment of a wide variety of metabolic bone diseases from suspected osteomalcia, adynamic bone disease, TIO and HPP.

Bone biopsies can be done with minimal discomfort in a skilled operator’s hands.
